How to determine arrival date of your gift:

• Place your order before 2 pm EST* (Monday through Friday); this is Day Zero.


• Day One: the first business day after Day Zero


• Example: an order placed on Tuesday, 11 am EST will ship that day. Tuesday (order day) is Day Zero. Day One: Wednesday. Day Two: Thursday. Day Three: Friday. If shipping to a 4-day zone, this would arrive on Monday. (Saturdays and Sundays are not delivery days).


• *Orders placed after 2 pm EST are not processed until the next business day.

After your order is placed, each basket is made and then shipped Monday – Friday.

If you place your order before 2 pm EST (Monday-Friday), the gift should ship the same day. Orders placed after 2 pm EST (Monday-Friday) will ship the next business day. Please check our delivery map below for estimated delivery times.

Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will ship the following Monday or the day you selected.

Ground
Ruma's ships gift baskets nationwide from our facility in the Boston area. The majority of our gift baskets are shipped via UPS or Fed Ex and you will receive a tracking number so that you can check the progress of your gift.

Express Delivery Options: 3 Day Ground, 2 Day Air and Next Day Air
To ensure freshness, perishable fruit baskets or fruit and gourmet baskets sent to the following states should be sent via 3 Day Ground delivery:

From time to time, Ruma’s will work with an associate in another area of the country to fulfill an order.

Ruma's is not responsible for orders missing pertinent information (see above), a recipient who has transferred from a company or is on vacation, a recipient who has been discharged from hospital, or for company or school closings and/or all weather related incidents.

We are not responsible for wrong or incomplete addresses; re-ship charges apply. We are not responsible for packages once they have been delivered.

All merchandise is subject to inventory availability. Ruma’s reserves the right to substitute products of equal or greater value when needed.

As a general rule, we do not call the recipient prior to delivery. Signatures are not generally required for delivery. As a general rule Fed Ex/UPS drivers will leave a gift in a "safe, protected place." However, it is at the driver's discretion not to leave a package when he or she does not feel the package will be safe. Three delivery attempts are made before the package is returned to us. Reship charges apply as needed.

Recipient Refusal
If a basket is refused at delivery and is not damaged, we will refund your money when the gift is returned to us by UPS/Fed Ex. If the basket is returned and damaged, we cannot refund your money.

Christmas Deliveries
During the December holiday rush, Ruma’s cannot guarantee a specific day/date of delivery. Rather, please indicate the week you would like your gift basket delivered. (week of 12/3, week of 12/10, week of 12/17). We will do our best to accommodate your delivery date. Expect extra days in transit.

Holiday 2012: Christmas falls on Tuesday. Ruma's does not deliver on Sundays. Ruma's has limited home delivery on Saturdays. Please note that additional days are needed for delivery at this time of year. Choosing to deliver the week before Christmas (week of 12/17/12) may delay your basket delivery until after Christmas due to UPS and FedEx demands and/or weather conditions. We recommend that you order early and that you specify the week of 12/03 or the week of 12/10 or earlier for delivery.

Wine Orders
Due to state regulations, wine cannot be shipped to Utah or Kentucky. Please see our selection of Gourmet Baskets for some alternative gift ideas.

Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico
Fresh fruit can not be shipped to these areas; Ruma's can send gourmet baskets and/or wine baskets only. For the best delivery possible, Ruma's ships gifts to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico for a flat fee. Unfortunately, we do not have control over the amount of days in transit for deliveries to AK, HI and Puerto Rico.. Please allow more time for delivery. We cannot guarantee a specific day/date of delivery for items to AK, HI and Puerto Rico.

Shipping to Canada
During December, at least one week is needed for shipment to Canada; additional time for delivery is needed as well. Unfortunately, we do not have control over the amount of days in transit for items to Canada. Orders containing fresh fruit will be fulfilled by our Canadian affiliates. Please allow extra time for delivery. Note for Holiday 2012: Christmas falls on Tuesday. Ruma's does not deliver on Sundays.
