We at Ruma's pride ourselves with prompt delivery service. Most local orders, can be delivered the next day when the order is received by 10:00am that day.
Deliveries within our local (Greater Boston) area can be delivered the next day; although we recommend ordering before 12:00 Noon the day before. Orders placed after business hours (8:00 AM - 2:00 PM Eastern Time) will be processed the next business day. Orders placed after 12:00 Noon on Saturday will be processed on the following Monday (except Christmas when we have extended hours).
Deliveries outside our local delivery area or out of state should be sent by Ground, 2 Day Guaranteed or Overnight Express.

Zip Codes & Phone Numbers Our database sends all packages by zip code, please find out the correct zip code for each recipient. Leaving the zip code and state blank, will delay your package delivery. Phone numbers are very important for each recipient. UPS and Fedex attempt to contact the recipient if they cannot find the address or have difficulty delivering.
Check Your Information To ensure prompt delivery please check your information. Provide complete and accurate information. We are not responsible for wrong or incomplete addresses (re-ship charges apply), orders missing recipient's telephone numbers, an order that cannot be delivered due to recipients moving, leaving company, being discharged from hospital, company or school closings and/or all weather related incidents. All merchandise is subject to inventory availability.
Incorrect Addresses If the address you have given us is incorrect, we will try to make every effort to re-direct the package. However if the address that you have given is correct and you want to re-direct to a new address, we will try to catch the package before it leaves our warehouse. If the package has already left our warehouse, we cannot re-direct the package. Additional charges may apply depending on the difficulty of tracing the package's whereabouts.
Recipient Refusal There are times when the person you are sending a gift basket to, refuses the gift. If the gift is a wine or all gourmet basket with no perishable items, we will refund your money when the gift is returned to us by UPS/FedEx. If the basket was a fruit basket and was sent by a courier other than a Ruma driver, we cannot refund your money. By the time the basket is returned to Ruma's, the fruit will be destroyed. The fruit basket would have been received fresh, had the recipient accepted the basket.
Holiday Deliveries We will do our best to deliver your order on the requested date, though due to volume during the holidays, we cannot guarantee a specific date. We prefer to associate your order with a specific week before Christmas. Please specify the week that you would like your Holiday order to be sent out. Choosing the week of Christmas may delay your basket delivery until after Christmas do to UPS and FedEx demands and/or weather conditions.
California Orders Due to state regulations, fruit or wine may not be shipped to California. Please see our Gourmet Baskets for some alternative ideas, or contact us for more information.
Florida Orders Due to state regulations, wine may not be shipped directly to Florida. We use an affiliate in Florida that customizes similar wine baskets for us. If you do not want us to use an affiliate, please see our Gourmet Basets for some alternative ideas, or contact us for more information.
Wine Orders Due to state regulations, wine cannot be shipped to Maryland, Georgia, Indiana, Oklahoma, Tennessee, or Utah. In regard to these states, we will attempt to call you to change the item that you have chosen. For all other states, we have affiliates that customize wine orders for us. Other State Restrictions Due to state regulations, wine and fruit may not be possible to send directly from Ruma's. We have a list of affiliate companies that we use that have similar wine and fruit baskets. We can always send any Gourmet Only Basket to anywhere in the country including Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, and Mexico. Please see our Gourmet Line for some alternative ideas, or contact us for more information. At this time, we only offer ground service for Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, and Mexico.
International Orders International orders are subject to the regulations of customs and the country of which they are to be delivered. Certain items and perishables are not allowed shipped into, or out of certain countries. "Ground, 2 Day, and Overnight Express" are not an option for delivery on International Orders. Delivery can be anywhere from 3 -10 business days. Although you may use our website to place your order, we prefer that you call in your International Orders. Each country has their own minimum for Gourmet, Wine, and Fruit baskets. Please call us to ask about a specific country. In some cases, we may need more money than charged on the website to satisfy an International Order. Baskets are subject to substitutions and may not look like the basket on our site. Your basket order may be filled by an associate in the country in which the recipient resides. Please call for more information.

Ground Ruma's ships baskets nationwide. The perishable fruit baskets are sent ground in the Northeast area. Outside the Northeast they must be sent Two Day Guaranteed or Overnight Express. See chart for prices. Non-perishable baskets will be sent standard ground unless otherwise requested (see map legend for estimated delivery times).
2 Day Express and Standard Overnight Express All fruit gifts bound for outside the Northeast must be sent via Two Day Guaranteed or Overnight Express to guarantee freshness. Same day or next day worldwide delivery is available through our Teleflora/Dove Network. Both 2 Day and Standard Overnight services have an expected delivery time of 3 PM on the day of arrival. Please be advised that 2 Day Express and Standard Overnight Express are based on UPS pick up on the next business day. Packages are not shipped until Monday, when ordering after 2 PM on Friday. Please be aware of holidays in which UPS does not operate on most major holidays. Please keep in mind that 2 Day Express and Overnight Express do not include Saturday or Sunday delivery.
